Symptoms of Hernia

Visible bulge (groin, abdomen, navel)

For hiatal hernia: acidity, chest discomfort, difficulty swallowing
When Hernia Becomes Emergency
Seek immediate medical help if:

Bulge becomes hard, painful, or not reducible

Severe abdominal pain

Vomiting
-
Redness over bulge
These may indicate strangulated hernia, which is life-threatening.
